La Tavola Linens Event in Beverly Hills

(Beverly Hills Showroom)

Above 3 images from Jen Good Photography (www.jengood.com)

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending La Tavola Linens grand opening of their showroom in Beverly Hills. It was just FABULOUS! Square Root Designs of Orange County provided the chic centerpieces. Simply stunning! I'm so excited they opened a showroom down here. They have wonderful linens to choose from at great prices! They are located across the street from the Peninsula Hotel on Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills. Come by and visit them...you won't be disappointed!

Below are pictures I took (not the best, but whatever right?)...enjoy!

Floral Design Event with Brassavolas Floral Couture

Image from Brassavolas Floral Couture (www.bblossoms.com)

A year ago I had the chance to work with Dodie Sy, Creative Director and Owner of Brassavolas Floral Couture, for a wedding I coordinated. I must say he is simply amazing and talented. His work has been featured in wedding publications such as "Ceremony Magazine". Get the chance to learn from a true artist by attending his Floral Design Class for holiday entertaining. He is offering three classes for the month of December in his design studio in Chino, CA. He can teach you tricks of the trade to design fabulous centerpieces. Seats are limited! Below is a link for more information! Hope to see y'all there!

J.Lo and Marc Anthony Renew their Vows - Vegas Style!

Traditionally, couples tend to renew their wedding vows when their marriage reaches a milestone like a Golden Wedding Anniversary or something.  These days it isn't necessary to wait that long.  Couples renew their wedding vows even after two years of marriage!  I even know of one couple that renew their vows every year!  Some couples renew their vows during an intimate ceremony, while others relive their wedding day all over again.  A lot of times couples renew their wedding vows on another day other than the actual wedding date.

Today, People reported that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony renewed their vows in Las Vegas early this morning (on my birthday!).  The couple was in town celebrating Marc Anthony's birthday from last month.  After a night of club-hopping they made a spur-of-the-moment choice to renew their wedding vows.  It was witnessed by two friends, which took place at Caesars Palace's Forum Tower Penthouse.  The singing duo wed a little over four years ago at a private residence on June 5, 2004.  Congrats to the couple!

Event Design Inspiration Board - Fall Theme

Elements of this Event Design

  • Inspiration: Architecture structure of Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels and colors of a sunset
  • Ambiance: Modern-elegance, romantic charm
  • Color palette: burnt orange w/a tinge of cranberry red and chocolate brown
The fall season is here. The leaves are turning to the reddish-orange color of the sunset and the weather is slowly getting cooler. I recently spoke to a bride about wanting a brown, burnt orange (think Sunrise Calla Lilly), and cranberry red color scheme for her fall season wedding. However, she didn't want the typical "Thanksgiving-like" feel to it. Simple, romantic, elegant yet modern was the mood she wanted. I immediately pictured an "Autumn in New York". I was inspired by the modern architecture of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, which is the actual venue. I was also inspired by the season and the colors of a sunset. Here is an inspiration board that surely feels like "Autumn in New York". Enjoy!

Someone's engaged to be married!!!

My friend and my daughter's Godmother, Pia, just got engaged while on a cruise with her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Lising! They've been dating for A LONG TIME! So congrats to the both of you! I knew she would get engaged! Ryan picked out a gorgeous radiant cut diamond with two smaller diamonds flanking the sides of the big rock! Good job Ryan (and yours truly...yeah me!) for picking out the perfect rock for a sweet girl! Here's the picture! Enjoy!
